We bought two cookbooks for Morton's recipes and was pleasantly surprised at the number of different recipes offered between the two. Only some basic information overlapped. The information on preparation - from choosing the best cut to serving - was awesome. This book offers everything from appetizers, salads, sauces, main courses that include beef, veal, lamb, seafood... to sauces, cocktails and desserts.Product details

Great recipes
Just received this book for a week, and I am already a hero! What did I made? Potato Skins, Morton's Salad with Blue Cheese Dressing(best dressing ever), Beef Filet Diane(such a elegant and complex steak source), Manhattan Martini, and Cadillac Margarita. I am amazed how accurate these recipes are, everything I made so far were as good as what I tasted at Morton. Definitely will try the Crab Cake, Shrimp Alexander, and some of the desserts soon.
Recipes are great with easy to follow directions!
We have made 5 or 6 of the recipes and liked all of them, including blue cheese dressing, potato soup, beef roulades, and Morton's famous hot chocolate dessert. There is nothing "light" about any of them, but it's a good eye-opener regarding the huge amounts of butter and cream that go into a lot of tasty dishes.
The recipes taste just like the restaurant. Some of the ingredients have to be ordered via internet & I live in a major metropolitan area. My husband is thrilled we have the creamed spinach recipe.
Every recipe in this book was a dish that could have been ordered in every restaurant before they were sold. So you can still experience the quality that made them famous for decades.
I have been to Mortnon's in Arizona, it was expensive but worth it. This cook book has good recipes and advice on how to choose the right steak. I actually tried the clam chowder recipe and it turned out very good, being from New England I know what good chowder is. I have yet to find the right butcher to cut a quality steak for me so I can try the Cajun rib eye.
